Parlours Quashie wins NPP Volta Regional 2nd Vice Chairman race

Mr Parlours Quashie has been elected Second Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Volta Region after securing 150 votes in the party’s regional executive elections held in Ho.

He defeated the incumbent Second Vice Chairman, David Azim, who polled 74 votes, while former Ho Central Constituency Parliamentary Candidate, Divine Richard Bosson, secured 94 votes.

Mr Quashie’s victory represents a strong endorsement from delegates, who have entrusted him with the responsibility of helping to lead the party’s regional operations.

In his remarks after the election, Mr Quashie expressed appreciation to delegates and supporters who backed his candidature, describing the victory not merely as a personal achievement but as a call to service.

He pledged to work with all the newly elected regional executives to promote unity, strengthen the party and advance its interests in the Volta Region.

According to him, the party’s ability to make meaningful progress will depend largely on cooperation, unity and a shared commitment to its ideals and objectives.

Mr Quashie stressed that there would be no room for division following the election, saying his immediate priority would be to bring members together and strengthen the party’s structures at the grassroots level.

Looking ahead to the 2028 general elections, he said he was determined to help reposition the NPP in the Volta Region through stronger grassroots engagement, improved party structures and greater participation by members.

The newly elected Second Vice Chairman also appealed to supporters, delegates and sympathisers to put the contest behind them and rally behind the new regional executive team.

“Now that the election is over, we must all come together and work as one party,” he said.

Mr Quashie expressed confidence that unity, hard work and commitment from the regional executives and the party’s rank and file could help the NPP make significant gains in the Volta Region and contribute to its efforts to return to power in 2028.

His election marks a new chapter in his political career as he assumes responsibility for supporting the party’s leadership, mobilisation and grassroots activities in the region.
