Kun Khalifat FC have strengthened their squad ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League season with the signing of goalkeeper Mathias Mallen from Nigeria National League side Solution FC.

The Owerri-based club confirmed the arrival of the shot-stopper as part of efforts to improve their squad before the new campaign begins.

Mallen has agreed to a contract that will keep him with Kun Khalifat until the summer of 2028.

His addition provides another option between the posts for a team that narrowly avoided relegation during the previous NPFL season.

Kun Khalifat survived on the final day of the campaign and will now be looking to avoid another difficult battle at the bottom of the table.

Mallen becomes one of the club’s latest recruits during a busy transfer period. Kun Khalifat have seen several important players leave the club this summer, making squad rebuilding a major priority for the management.

The goalkeeper’s move from Solution FC also represents a step up to Nigeria’s top-flight league, where he will have the opportunity to compete at a higher level and gain further experience.
