José Mourinho has reportedly introduced a new set of rules at Real Madrid as he begins his second spell in charge of the Spanish giants.

The Portuguese manager returned to the Santiago Bernabéu this summer and is already making changes to the club’s internal routines.

According to reports from AS, Mourinho identified certain habits within the squad that he believes need to be addressed as he seeks to improve discipline and professionalism.

One of the major changes concerns players’ diets. Under the new arrangement, Real Madrid players will no longer have complete freedom over what they eat.

Instead, their meals will be carefully planned and monitored by a nutritionist, with structured menus designed to support their training and overall fitness.

Mourinho has also introduced a stricter approach to punctuality. Players who arrive late for training will reportedly be required to complete their gym sessions alone, adding an individual consequence to lateness.

Another significant change involves the treatment of injured players. Mourinho wants rehabilitation to be carried out at the club’s training facilities rather than away from the team.

The process will also be monitored by Real Madrid staff to ensure players remain under the supervision of the club throughout their recovery.

The new measures highlight Mourinho’s emphasis on discipline, organisation and accountability. Having returned to Madrid, the experienced coach appears determined to establish clear standards both on and off the pitch as he prepares the team for the new campaign.
