Former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has revealed that he has other potential opponents lined up should his proposed showdown with Anthony Joshua fail to materialise in November.

Fury is targeting a return to the ring in the United States later this year, with Joshua currently viewed as his preferred opponent. However, negotiations surrounding the highly anticipated all-British contest have reportedly encountered disagreements involving money and the location of the fight.

Speaking about his plans, Fury made it clear that he will not allow uncertainty over the Joshua bout to disrupt his comeback preparations.

The 37-year-old said he is staying in shape while waiting for developments and believes several heavyweight champions would be willing to step in if the Joshua fight collapses.

Fury also stressed the financial appeal of fighting him, arguing that potential opponents have much to gain from sharing the ring with him.

While winning a championship belt remains a major achievement, he believes fighters must also consider the financial rewards available from major bouts.

Should the Joshua fight fail to take place in November, Fury intends to honour his contractual commitments and face another opponent rather than remain inactive.

The former champion also dismissed any suggestion that he would walk away from an agreement he has already signed.

According to Fury, he takes his contracts seriously and understands that failing to fulfil one could lead to legal consequences.

With both fighters commanding huge global attention, fans continue to wait for confirmation of whether Fury and Joshua will finally meet or whether Fury will turn to another heavyweight challenger.
