Following the invasion of Ukraine by Russian President Vladimir Putin it has obviously been proven through the multiple air, sea and land strikes that the country is no longer safe for its citizens and foreigners resident.

The Government of Ghana through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has made a statement saying to her citizens within the border of Ukraine saying

The Government of Ghana is gravely concerned about the security and safety of our over 1000 students and other Ghanaians in Ukraine and has asked them to shelter in place in their homes or in government places of shelter, as we engage the authorities, our relevant diplomatic missions and our honorary consul on further measures.

However, the statement has already began to draw criticisms over social media with many users saying Ghanaians should be evacuated home.
