Former Karaga Member of Parliament (MP) for Karaga Constituency, Alhassan Sualihu Dandaawa, has said the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will reclaim the Karaga seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2028 general election.

“With the kind of work President John Mahama has done in Karaga, even if we present a dog as our candidate, it will win the 2028 general election,” he said.

He noted that the President has empowered the NDC leadership across various sectors ahead of the 2028 polls.

“John Mahama has empowered us in various sectors, and we are ready to take back the seat from the NPP,” the Deputy Administrator of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) said while addressing party supporters.

Dandaawa insisted the Karaga seat rightfully belongs to the NDC, not the NPP.

“We will let [Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam] know that the Karaga seat belongs to the NDC and not the NPP,” he said.

The former MP urged residents to vote massively for the NDC, assuring them the party will bring more development to the area.

“Expect more projects from the NDC for the development of Karaga, and before the end of John Mahama’s tenure, Karaga will be developed massively,” he stated.

Mr. Dandaawa made the remarks while donating a Toyota Voxy to the NDC constituency chairman for Karaga, in recognition of his dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to the party’s growth and success in the constituency.
