The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has hinted at challenging the outcome of the 2026 governorship election in court, saying it is currently reviewing results from the 332 wards across the state.

The party said the review would guide its decision on the next line of action, stressing that the electoral process does not end with the declaration of results.

In a statement signed by its Director of Media and Information, Mogaji Kola Olabisi, the APC said aggrieved political parties have constitutionally recognised avenues to seek redress, including the election tribunal, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.

According to the party, its leadership would consult its legal team and, based on professional advice, determine whether to pursue the available legal options under the Electoral Act.

The APC described any decision to seek legal redress as part of the democratic process, while commending its members and supporters for their loyalty, resilience and contributions throughout the election.

The party also urged its supporters to remain calm and continue with their normal activities, warning them against responding to what it described as provocative actions or statements by members of the ruling party.

It assured its members that the party leadership would not abandon them, expressing confidence that the current political developments would eventually become part of the history of Osun State.

The APC further called on the Nigeria Police Force to protect its members and supporters, alleging that some of them were being molested by opposition supporters.

Reaffirming its commitment to the rule of law, fairness and justice, the party urged its supporters to remain steadfast, insisting that the political process would not be considered concluded until all constitutionally provided avenues for redress had been exhausted.
