Yale School of Management appoints Togbe Afede XIV as Chair of its Council of Global Advisors

The Yale School of Management has officially named Togbe Afede XIV as the Chair of its Council of Global Advisors. This prestigious appointment took effect on February 16, with the formal announcement shared via the traditional ruler’s official social media channels on March 7.
In this prominent leadership capacity, Togbe Afede XIV will preside over a distinguished group of international leaders tasked with guiding the institution’s senior management. The council plays a vital role in shaping strategies that enhance Yale’s global footprint and academic influence across the world. Comprising experts from various professional backgrounds and geographical regions, the council includes both celebrated alumni and esteemed external leaders.
As the newly appointed Chair, the Asogli State ruler will collaborate directly with Dean Kerwin Charles and the broader leadership team. His primary focus will involve setting council priorities and fostering deeper international partnerships. The university noted that his selection was driven by his exceptional leadership history and his significant professional achievements throughout his career.
In addition to his three year term as Chair, Togbe Afede XIV will join the Yale School of Management Board of Advisors in an ex-officio capacity. His tenure will also involve supporting strategic initiatives to attract top tier international students and promoting the school’s broader mission on the global stage. There remains an option to renew his term upon its completion.
