Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has hit back at his junior colleague Erigga over a post perceived as a subtle dig at artists from privileged backgrounds.

Erigga had taken to the popular microblogging platform, X(formerly Twitter) to give a special shout-out to musicians who do not come from family money and had to grind for every dollar they earn.

Quoting him, Davido slammed the rapper for throwing an indirect shade at him, while defending artists who come from privileged backgrounds but still work hard to achieve success.

“No be we say make your pops no guard o. Shout-out to the ones that came from family money and still grind to the top. Comot here with that your useless motivation. Imbecīle.”
