Mallorca produced a stunning performance to defeat Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 in an impressive pre-season friendly, sending a strong message ahead of the new campaign.

Despite facing one of Europe’s elite clubs, the La Liga side displayed confidence, discipline, and clinical finishing to secure a memorable victory in front of their home supporters.

The hosts broke the deadlock in the 21st minute when Zito Luvumbo capped off a swift attacking move with a composed finish.

Mallorca continued to threaten on the counterattack and doubled their advantage five minutes before halftime.

Jan Virgili latched onto a perfectly weighted pass from Sergi Darder before calmly firing past the goalkeeper to give the home side a comfortable lead.

PSG hoped to respond after the interval, but Mallorca struck again just six minutes into the second half. Captain Antonio Raíllo powered home a header from a corner kick, extending the lead to 3-0 and putting the result beyond doubt.

Although the French champions dominated possession, they struggled to create meaningful chances in the final third.

Mallorca’s compact defensive shape frustrated PSG’s attacking stars, forcing them into speculative efforts that rarely troubled the goalkeeper.

Luvumbo was the standout performer, combining pace, creativity, and composure throughout the match. His goal and overall attacking influence played a major role in Mallorca’s victory, while Raíllo and Virgili also delivered excellent performances at both ends of the pitch.

The result highlights Mallorca’s growing confidence and tactical organisation as they continue preparations for the new season.

While only a friendly, Mallorca’s dominant display will undoubtedly boost belief within the squad ahead of the competitive campaign.
