Deltans resident in Edo State Support Godwin Obaseki for Governor

Ahead of the forth coming Governorship election in Edo State, a group known as Concerned Deltans for Good Governance has thrown their support for the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Mr Godwin Obaseki and Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu as running mate in the State.

Godwin Obaseki

In a statement issued by the coordinator of the group in the state, Mr Paul Ofonye, the group stated that they decided to support the APC candidate because of the achievement of the Comrade Governor, Adams Oshiomhole within the past seven years in the state.

We are not a political group, but we are associated with development and progress of any area or state irrespective of political party.

He said for some of us Deltans who have stayed in the state for several years we have no reason to regret, because we have partaken in the employment opportunity created by the APC led government in the state as it has never happened before"  he noted.

According to him, the administration of Adams Oshiomhole did not segregate against non-indigenes, as he was the one who abolished the issue of catchment area in the state owned higher institution where none indigene are meant to pay higher than the indigene  as well as the appointment of none indigene into his  cabinet and other government offices.

The coordinator of the Concerned Deltans for Good Governance called on all Deltans resident in Edo State and APC Delta State Chapter to rally round the APC in Edo State for continuity of progress in the state.

While advising the electorates not to be cajoled by politicians who cannot keep to their promises.

Mr. Ofonye, said, they should support continuity of what has been laid  down by Comrade Governor, adding that as residents of the state, the non-indigenes shares in the progress and otherwise in the state.
