I will do my best to make Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation Europe relevant to Nigeria says Hon. Kenneth Gbandi

PresidentKenneth Gbandi was elected the new chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation Europe (NIDOE) at the body's annual general meeting in Athens, Greece, on 11 November. The Germany-based migration expert, communal politician, business consultant and media entrepreneur spoke in his first interview after the election with some European and Nigerian based media houses and notable bloggers via a Tele-Conference on the challenges facing NIDOE, how Nigeria can attract more foreign investment and the best way to manage the fight against corruption. Gbandi, who has been the president of the German chapter of NIDO for the past four years, also talked about the efforts of the Diaspora to contribute to national development and what he plans to do to support the current government.

These are definitely not the best of times for Nigeria. The oil price has continued to slide, the naira becoming weaker while unemployment rate remains high among the youth. An average Nigerian does not know the direction the country is going, unfortunately many youths have taken to crime to make ends meet. However, the story of Nigeria is not all about woes as some young professionals are doing the nation proud creating wealth and serving as inspiration to others.

In our December issue of The Voice magazine, we ran an interview with his lordship, The Rt. Rev. Professor Evans. J. Ibeagha on his life and achievements as Bishop of Nike Diocese in Enugu. He and his lovely wife, Professor Mrs. Peace Ibeagha invited the Publisher of The Voice magazine, Pastor Elvis Iruh to their Enugu home to personally see the work God has trusted into their hands. The visit to Enugu was very remarkable. He recounts time with them   in this special reportage of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) Diocese of Nike.
